My father handed me a camera when I was 7 years old and told me to shoot, everything, everywhere. Since then, I have had a camera in both my hands. After studying photography in college, I moved to Los Angeles to become a filmmaker. After graduating from LA Film School as a producer and director, I worked as a stuntwoman on many music videos and styled a Victoria Secrets commercial with Michael Bay. After 8 years living in Los Angeles, I discovered I was pregnant and decided to choose family over Hollywood. I wanted my children to have the same childhood experience as I had, with trees, dirt and animals. So we moved north to Sonoma County.
Once back in Sonoma County, I had the great fortune of apprenticing with an award winning wedding photographer. After several years of the work, I was hooked! It's an honor being with people on one of the most important days of their lives. To tell the story of it. To capture the beauty, the excitement, the drama of it all.
Weddings require a few extra skills. You have to be quick to adjust, be good under stress and be able to work with all kinds of people and personalities in any situation or circumstance handed to you. I bring a no stress, creative spirit to any job I do. My travels and career in the film industry had prepared me for this job perfectly!
